"First of all, I just want to say thank you for stopping by. I know it can be difficult and exhausting to look for the right tutor for your child, especially as they get closer to "leaving the nest". I get it. I will do my best to show you who I am and how I can offer peace of mind to you and your teen.
I want to start by saying how incredibly blessed I am to have a family that supports me and loves me no matter what journey I decide to embark on.
My husband, Chris Marks, and I are both actors and YouTubers who go on many adventures together! (he took this picture on the left). Lucky for me, his YouTube channel, Be Here, is all about traveling! I'm his camera woman, so you'll see me on pretty much every episode (and may have a laugh or two at my expense). We love to go on hikes, to animal sanctuaries, beaches, rivers, and pretty much anything outdoors. We also love to try different foods everywhere we go. Make sure to check it out!
Thankfully, since I tutor 100% online, I have the freedom to be there for my students, no matter where I am. I also get a chance to tutor students all over the world!
I started my tutoring journey in 2008 as an Upward Bound tutor, teaching Science and Math to teenagers from 10th to 12th grade. It wasn't until 2014 that I started to tutor full time, and since then, I’ve had the privilege to tutor hundreds of High School students in Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Spanish.
I love working with my students and making sure that they have a great time, especially when they are learning something that they don't particularly like.
More often than not, students who believe that they are not good at a particular subject (or just flat out don’t like it) start developing confidence once they see the bigger picture. That’s why I like to focus on making sure my students, not only know what they're doing, but know WHY they are doing it. When I teach Math, for example, my goal is not to turn people into calculators, but into mathematical thinkers. This goes a much longer way than memorizing a bunch of formulas or multiplication tables with no reason behind it... I try to make every session fun and explain things in simple terms that THEY understand (I am huge on discovering what kind of learner they are!).
Besides Math and Science, I am also passionate about Financial Literacy, Mental Health, and Healthy Living. I am a huge fan of God, puzzles, Legos, super-hero movies, baby animals, and chocolate!
I am from San Juan, Puerto Rico and I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2012 with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. I also have a strong background in Computer Programming and Math, since I majored in Computational Mathematics for 3 years at the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao.
Ever since I started tutoring, I discovered that my calling is to help teenagers thrive, not only academically, but also in life! So, it is my mission to help my students discover what they're capable of, so they can ultimately live a fulfilling life.

One-on-one tutoring is not exactly cheap, but it is certainly invaluable! Tutoring packages and group sessions can make tutoring sessions more affordable.
